Relationship horoscope
In a relationship horoscope two charts are compared with other, connected (synastry) to each other and then ultimately melted together as a composite. How different are they in character and how do they approach life? Where and how does misunderstanding and conflict arise? Where are they naturally in agreement and compatible? Every issue touched upon in the preliminary consultation will of course be addressed. The sought for result is: clarity in the relationship and a consequently increased ease and mutual understanding.
I am quite often asked whether a relationship between certain sun signs can be successful at all. The myth that someone for example with the Sun in Cancer couldn't possibly live together with a Sagittarius is widespread. Obviously there are differences between them and possibly they don't really understand each other on a certain level. But that has nothing to do with the possibility for love and dedication! It can even be stimulating and inspirational to be with someone so different from yourself!
In the first place there is the mystery of love: to love someone without an apparent reason, isn't that wonderful? The "reason" is obviously well hidden, for many of these relationships exist and flourish.
Secondly the Sun sign is only one small part of the story; an extended horoscope reading always reveals this.
I look at all the astrological factors that are relevant in the contact between two people and translate these into practical concepts and questions.
What do they both need in a fulfilling relationship? What are their expectations? Are they compatible in this respect? What's the quality of their communication? Do they hear each other or is there interference on the line? In which way do they get in each others way and how do they complement each other? Do they agree with each other sexually? Can anything be said about the "goal" of the relationship, in other words a shared central theme or idea?
It is a normal habit to want to change your partner when things aren't going well in a relationship. But that's a dead-end street. However it is possible to gain more understanding of each other and of the new dynamic that is created when two characters are brought together. After all isn't one plus one in this case - one? This will have to be the case to a certain extent in any intense, intimate relationship.
We may understand a lot, but it remains a mystery. Fortunately. But it's my experience after years of making these horoscopes, including those of my own relationships, that it is also very liberating to take a good look in each others mirror!
