Short Biography
I, (Denise Plooij) was born on May 26 1947 in Holland. For many years I was a primary school teacher and because I noticed how differently children experience the world, each and every child according to its own unique nature, I became more and more interested in psychology. After a horoscope reading by one of Holland's leading astrologers, I became so fascinated by astrology and it's psychological insights that I studied it intensively for the next 15 years. In 1996 I completed the three year course "Astrology and Therapy" with Jan de Graaf and began my own practice. From 1999 to 2007 I was the in-house astrologer and tarot reader in Amsterdam's most successful body mind spirit bookshop, Wanuskéwin.
Through the years I've developed a different approach to every type of horoscope reading. For instance my background as a teacher and mother gave me the ideas and instruments for developing my own concept for accessible children's horoscopes. My work as a tarot reader at the Wanuskéwin bookstore inspired me to develop my own tarot deck.
Since 2007 I have lived with my husband in Topolia, a village of app. 300 people, 12 km south of Kastelli Kissamos
on Crete, Greece. We live in an old renovated house overlooking a green valley towards the sea. Here I am continuing
